Dark Ambient music has been my favorite style of music since I was in my teens. There is just something so special about the atmospheres that it creates. I love to have it on during other activities, of which it heightens them all. Some of my favorite bands are Lustmord, Melisande Mourning, Atrium Carceri, Aythis, Dargaard, Natasha Nightingale, Midnight Syndicate, and so many more.
Many of my favorite bands have been discovered from hours of listening to Dark Ambient Radio. Its a great station that I really recommend. There are a lot of ambient stations on line, but that one just seems to have an endless stream of beautiful works.
